GROUP ADVENTURE & ZANZIBAR EXPLORE

On your second day, we’ll visit the real village of our good Maasai friends. During the visit, you will meet the Maasai worrier people and learn about their unique way of life.

Leaving the village, we’ll continue to a beautiful hot spring, which attracts locals and tourists alike. Here we’ll swim in the turquoise, crystal clear waters that run from Kilimanjaro, swing Tarzan style into the water and enjoy a delightful picnic lunch.

Refreshed and relaxed, we’ll head back to Arusha ready for our safari tomorrow.

We’ll spend the next few days on a safari to three of the most spectacular safari destinations in Africa, starting with the incredible Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire is famous for having one of the densest elephant populations in the world and is the perfect place to begin our safari adventure.

Later on you will spend overnight near Lake Manyara National Park.

Early in the morning we’ll visit beautiful Lake Manyara National Park.

Leaving there, we’ll arrive in the Serengeti in the afternoon. As we drive into the park, there will be plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife and believe us, you’ll be singing Circle of Life all the way in.

On day 5 we’ll spend the full day exploring the Serengeti searching for the Big 5. There’s nothing quite like it!

You’ll go to sleep to the sounds of hyenas cackling and maybe even hear the odd lion roar or elephant trumpet in the distance.

As we are spending 2 days in the Serengeti, there will also be time for hot air ballooning (additional cost).

We’ll be up early for another game drive in the Serengeti looking for animals who are usually very active in the morning before it gets too hot.

The Serengeti has an abundance of wildlife so you won’t be disappointed! We’ll keep our eyes peeled for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes and all the other animals you could ever hope to see.

In the afternoon, we’ll make our way to the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area where we’ll spend the evening under the stars.

Today we’ll head down into the Ngorongoro Crater for our final safari.

The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world, formed 3 million years ago when a giant volcano collapsed. The result is one of the most spectacular landscapes on earth.

Inside the crater is filled with animals and if we’re lucky we might see an endangered black rhino or two.

In the afternoon, we’ll head to Moshi, where we’ll freshen up and enjoy a well-deserved dinner.

Today we’re hiking in the foothills of Kilimanjaro to a beautiful waterfall, where you will have the opportunity to swim in the cool water and take plenty of photos.

Afterward, we’ll have lunch at Mama Agnes’s house, try the locally made banana beer and learn how to make coffee in the traditional Chagga tribe way.

The coffee-making process is fun and interactive and accompanied by traditional songs and dances.

The afternoon will be free for you to explore Moshi or rest at the guesthouse.

Today is a drive day as we head south to Bagamoyo, a historic town on the Tanzanian coast, a place rich in Swahili culture and a great place to get a true feel for Tanzanian life.

There will be time in the afternoon to take a dip in the pool at our guesthouse before we head out to a local restaurant for dinner.

The following morning, you have the option to explore beautiful Bagamoyo by bicycle (or walking tour), see the main historical sights and learn about the dark history of this laid-back fishing town which played a pivotal role in the Slave Trade.

In the afternoon we’ll visit a local school and NGO, where you will get to see first hand the amazing work they are doing in the community.

Today is an exciting day as we’re heading to the island of Zanzibar. When we arrive, we’ll check into our stunning, traditional Zanzibari hotel before taking a tour of the town with the best guide on the island.

In the evening we’ll visit Forodhani Gardens, the awesome nightly food market where you can pick up some local delicacies such as seafood kebabs, samosas, fruit, grilled maize, sugar cane juice and the Zanzibar pizza!

We’ll spend the following day sailing and snorkelling on a traditional dhow in Menai Bay, where conservation efforts have allowed dolphins to flourish.

In the early evening, we’ll head to one of Stone Town’s top rooftop restaurants for a true Zanzibari experience with great food, great company and local Taarab music.

The morning is free to explore Stone Town, shop or simply relax by the pool before we make our way to Paje on the southeast of the island.

Our first full day in Paje is free to take part in one of the many activities on offer, such as scuba diving, stand up paddle boarding or a village tour.

On our last day, we’ll visit the Rock Restaurant for lunch, before taking a sunset cruise around beautiful Chwaka Bay (swimming possible, drinks & snacks included) to toast to an incredible trip through Tanzania.

Today is always a sad day as we say goodbye to our new friends, but the memories and shared experiences will last a lifetime!
